Product Overview:
405nm, 250mW Violet Laser Source System Overview
These plug-and-play laser sources capitalize on Coherent's industry-leading diode laser technology to deliver premium laser reliability and performance. The free-space 405nm LX-model source system is available at 50mW, 100mW, 140mW, 200mW, 250mW, and 365mW output power. Specifications are provided here for the 250mW model; inquire for specifications and details on other options.
The OBIS Series laser source systems cover the wavelength spectrum from 375nm (Ultraviolet) to 980nm (near-Infrared), and are perfect for flow cytometry and fluorescence spectroscopy applications.
OBIS LX/LS lasers deliver high optical power with low noise, and high beam quality. The plug-and-play system is flexible, and users are able to rapidly integrate the laser. The result is fast set-up time and time-to-market in OEM applications, and reduced cost. The highly-functional OBIS LS/LX Systems are ideal for a wide range of applications, including in the laboratory, scientific fields, and spectroscopy.
Complete Turn-Key Violet Laser Source System
The OBIS system is truly "plug-and-play" and includes: the laser head and power supply, remote controller, the interconnect cables, and ancillary hardware. The laser system is operated remotely via USB or RS232, and the PC control software is included.
Operating Flexibility with Multiple Modulation Modes
The OBIS laser system can be operated in CW mode, or modulated in multiple modes: analog signals, digital signals, and combined analog/digital signals. The laser can be modulated to full-off output, ensuring no photons are emitted. LS modules can be modulated to full-off output using the digital modulation mode. The LX modules can be modulated to full-off using the analog modulation mode with a Blanking Enabled feature.
Laser System Options and Availability
The turn-key OBIS laser sources are available in a wide range of wavelengths and output powers, either fiber-coupled or with a free-space output, and multiple sources can be simultaneously operated from a single computer. When application requirements change, laser heads of different wavelengths are speedily exchanged on the bench.
A number of bandpass filters are available for the free-space laser heads, and are useful in applications that benefit from reduced noise at longer wavelengths. Filters are available at 445nm, 473nm, 488nm, 633nm, and 640nm, and attach directly to the front of the laser head.
A range of multi-laser accessories are available: two six-laser controller models for OEM and benchtop applications, a purpose-made heatsink with attached cooling fan. An integrated mounting and control system that incorporates independent laser controllers, modulation inputs, and thermal management for up to five OBIS laser heads.
